Pre + Post Peel
We ask that you discontinue use of Retin-A, Tretinoin, Tazorac, Renova, alpha or beta hydroxyl acid products and all forms of physical exfoliants for one week before a peel.
Immediately post treatment skin may feel tight and warm, with redness.
Superficial peels typically pose minimal side effects and clients can immediately resume their daily activities, although some redness may appear following treatment. Deeper chemical peel treatments may cause redness, tightness, peeling, dryness, irritation, hypersensitivity, and swelling, though these effects will dissipate on their own after a short recovery period. We recommend all chemical peel clients be extremely cautious under direct sunlight to reduce the severity of side effects.
Multiple treatments to achieve optimal results. Results from deeper chemical peels may take slightly longer to appear, due to the healing process.
At home care directly following peel:
Use a gentle cleanser like a cleansing oil, cream cleanser, etc.
MOISTURIZE, MOISTURIZE, MOISTURIZE!
NEVER pick or pull off peeling skin.
Avoid products containing AHAs and BHAs (glycolic, lactic, salicylic acids) for 7-14 days.
Avoid products containing retinols for 7-14 days.
